EBR Staff Writer Published 06 February 2012

Lummus Technology, a unit of EPC services provider CB&I, has secured two separate technology contracts from a client in Russia.

The combined value of the contracts is about $120m.

The contract was awarded for the detailed design and engineering and material supply for numerous heaters for a refinery modernization project.

According to CB&I, the first contract was awarded in the fourth quarter of 2011 and the second awarded in January 2012.

Lummus Technology president Daniel M. McCarthy said producers in Russia have undertaken significant investments to upgrade their refineries for the production of cleaner fuels.

"We are pleased to have been selected to provide these important process heaters," said McCarthy.
