CVR Energy acquires refinery in Oklahoma
CVR Energy has completed its acquisition of Gary-Williams Energy Corp and its Wynnewood refinery and related assets in the US state of Oklahoma.
The refinery has a crude throughput capacity of 70,000 barrels per day (bpd) and a complexity rating of 9.3.
The acquisition increases the company's processing capacity to more than 185,000bpd at two locations in the PADD II, Group 3 region.
CVR Energy CEO Jack Lipinski said the acquisition of these high-quality and recently upgraded refinery assets is compelling for CVR in strategic, financial and operational terms.
